Childress Photographic Group was founded in 1974 by Jim and Sue Childress, based on the premise of quality, dependability, and Christian ethics.

Our mission at Childress Photographic Group is to take everything personally. We like to call all of our customers by name; and we like for all of our customers to know that their business is very important to us. Our staff are dedicated to accomplishing every aspect of production with great personal pride.

Jim Childress is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography, having received the degrees of Bachelor of Professional Arts, Bachelor of Arts, and has been awarded an honorary Master of Science in Photography by Brooks Institute. His professional standing is as a Master Photographic Craftsman and certified Professional Photographer under the auspices of the Professional Photographers

of America. He has held offices in local and state professional photographers associations, and has served as speaker/lecturer at the national level. Childress Photographic Group today is comprised of dedicated, qualified staff members. The 5000 square foot physical plant is equipped to provide studio

facilities for portraiture, product photography, a full range of lab services including canvas printing and full gallery wrap prints, photoshop services, instant enlargements, and digital imaging.

John Childress came on board in 1993 with a staff of 27 employees and has since become the company's CEO and VP of operations. With his passion for photography and expertise in technology, John has transformed the company into a state-of-the-art lab and photographic group. With high profile clients including the Prince of Iran, President Bush Sr., President George W. Bush, NYC Mayor Giuliani, First Lady Barbara Bush, Governor of Texas Rick Perry, Secretary of State General Colin Powell, country singer Randy Travis, Clifton Jansky, general Schwarzkopf to name a few.

Shirley Wilson is the studio's general manager, and has been with the corporation almost thirty years. She is the "engineer" who keeps everyone on track! From the incoming calls to showing our photographic art pieces to our customers, she pretty much runs the studio. Shirley is beautiful both inside and out!

Todd came on board in 2009 to add to our already extensive school portraiture. With over 40 years combined experience their addition has allowed "Picture Perfect by Childress" to give our school contracts quality work fast. From shooting tens of thousands of kids a year to editing databases and making sure we have great expressions on all our kids. This addition has been a great move for Childress Photographic Group.
